Getting to know Dermalogica

In the summer I tend to develop quite good skincare habits, taking time to carefully wash my face properly. In the winter, those habits all go flying out the window as I want to get into my warm bed as quick as possible, so the best way of encouraging me to do more than a quick rub of a cleansing wipe is to make it fun! I know 'skincare' and 'fun' don't always go hand in hand, but the Dermalogica Microfoliant I've been is pretty good fun!

dermalogica skin care powder

It's one of the weirdest products I've used on my face - a fine powder that in wet hands is transformed into a a magical exfoliating paste. Ok so not actually magical, but pretty clever! Unlike other exfoliators I've tried, it's not rough at all, but still leaves my skin feeling fresh and bright!

dermalogica review

For super-feeling skin, I've been using the Microfoliant alongside the Daytime Radiance kit, which comes with the MultiVitamin Power Firm (a contour cream for blurring wrinkles), Dynamic Skin Recovery (an anti-aging moisturiser with SPF30), and Skin Perfect Primer. It's a great little sent and used altogether my skin feels soft, moisturised and all round quite brilliant. I can see the primer in particular being  repurchase, as it evens out my complexion and leaves my skin looking really healthy even without make up over the top. Since I tend not to wear make up on a day to day basis this could be just the thing for taking the rough edge off my au natural face!

All these products, and loads more from the brand are available from Beauty900. As well as being salon professionals, and as such really understanding the importance of great products, they also offer free delivery - always a cause for celebration!

  6. I love the micro exfoliant powder, it makes me feel all sciencey. Not a fan of the primer or moisturiser though as I found them a little too shimmery on me.

    1. Ah yeah I did thing the primer was a little shimmery for sure when I first put it on, which I should have mentioned, but seemed to settle down quite quickly I thought!

  7. Ooh I've got a sample of that exfoliant powder somewhere but never got around to trying it. I think I just didn't really know what to think about it and just put it aside. I might have to dig it out and give it a try if it works and isn't rough :) Thanks for the review!
