What I Didn't Buy in the Sales

I, like many, bought a few bits in the post-Christmas sales...but I don't think I got too carried away. I jumped onto the Lush website pretty quickly in the morning and ordered a couple of gift sets, but then I plan on having a lot of baths in 2014. And I did buy some more new boots, but you can never have too many, right?

But there were plenty more things that I saw and didn't buy because I wasn't fast enough, they didn't have my size, or I just couldn't quite justify it.... so here are a few of the things I didn't buy in this years sales:

I've never tried any of the Philosophy bathtime stuff even though they all sound incredibly yummy. I've not heard a strong enough argument that they are worth the money when there are so many cheaper alternatives available, but the idea of a Butter Rum Cake bath appeals no end, and this was reduced to a much more reasonable £7 at Debenhams after Christmas. Unfortunately since I wasn't ordering anything else the added delivery cost would have put this past my 'too much money' marker and I wasn't likely to get into store to pick it up I've resigned myself to letting this slide by me this year.

I already have a few pairs or Irregular Choice shoes that I love but rarely wear and these are too pretty to live life in a box at the bottom of a pile in a dark cupboard - even with 25% off at Schuh.
The Yumi Wonderland shirt is not only a bargain at £16, but had teapots on it! Teapots! I was close to getting this one then needed to add something else to make it up to the free delivery amount, as you do, and couldn't decide what and ended up skipping the whole thing. I'm a temperamental shopper.
The same thing more or less happened with the Owl Shirt Dress from Joy. First of all it took me a while to decide if it was hideous or amazing, then I didn't want to pay postage.... will leave this one up to the fates - if they happen to have one in store next time I'm in Leeds, it's mine!
And then the last product that's got me into a should I/shouldn't I tizzy is the gorgeous Brit-Stitch Half Pint bags. I've had my heart set on one of these since I first say them last year and I've not seen them cheaper (25% off at the minute makes them £52.50) yet they're still definitely at the top end of my bag budget! And then I'd have to decide on a colour - the Greyed Jade shown above is a stunner, but would the Stormy Sea version be more all-weather-inclusive? It's a tough one! For now it's still on the 'I didn't buy' list but if it's still reduced come pay day it might be a very different story!

  1. The only problem with the Brit-Stitch bags is that the colours on the website can be a little different to what you actually get. We sell them and have had people surprised when they've seen their bags in person. The greyed jade is lovely, but a lot more pale than the pic looks here! x
