Sunday Soak - Neals Yard Remedies, Geranium and Orange Bath Oil

Since my attendance at the Neals Yard Remedies Blogger Event in Leeds at the end of last year I've been meaning to get myself back there and pick up some treats. Yesterday was my fist Leeds trip on 2014 and the NYR store was high on my list of must-hit shops!

We got to Neals Yard some time after I'd decided against spending £7 of Lush's Valentines Bath Bomb, so was feeling the need for a bath time treat and even though I ended up spending more than twice the amount I'd previously decided was too expensive, I'm very happy with my purchase of this gorgeous bottle of Geranium and Orange Bath Oil

Orange and geranium

For a start, even though as I said at £14.75 it's nearly twice as much as the Lush product I'd walked away from, I'll get a lot more uses out of this! I might have got a couple tops out of the bomb, this oil has been used a couple of times this morning (I had a bath and apparently I smell so good the other half wanted to try it too!) and barely a dint has been made.

It seems to be one of the least 'oily' bath oils I've used, in that now I'm out of the bath my skin feels lovely and soft but doesn't have that kind of greasy layer that a lot of oil-heavy bath products seem to leave. Don't get me wrong, I've said before that that oily layer doesn't particularly bother me, but I can totally see why its not for everyone and for those people in particular this would be a fantastic alternative.

The smell is amazing. Orangey, as you'd expect - cheerful and uplifting, with the fragrance blended to bring harmony. Wonderful stuff.

If you are ever about in Leeds, I definitely recommend a call into the lovely little shop there. Fantastic and friendly customer service with hugely knowledgeable staff ready to advise you on everything from the best product for your skin concerns to where to get the best cocktails in the city. I know I'll be back again!

  1. If she knows I'm about to have a bath, my sister always runs a little of this under the tap for me as it's so relaxing and smells so good! Great review, I second your recommendation :D
