I'm Kind of a Big Deal on my Blog

Earlier in the week I got to run away for a little bit to one of my very favourite cities, York. One of my main motivations was, of course, tea and cake based - it's been a little while since I ticked a name off my Tea Trail List and details of my amazing Afternoon Tea at Bettys will be posted soon! - but it's such a lovely pace to just wander around....

Golden Fleece Pub York

I didn't get to try any of the haunted Whiskey but it was cool to pop into 'York's Most Haunted Pub', the Golden Fleece for a non-tea beverage, and I may have got a wee bit of shopping done too. But since we managed to run away without the kids I made a point of not visiting any of York's fine and educational museums!

My little trip also gave me a grand opportunity to wear my new T-shirt, kindly sent by the lovely folk at Next.

If you cant read it properly, it says 'I'm kind of a big deal on my blog'. Now don't get me wrong, I know I'm not a big deal anywhere, even here, I have no delusions of importance, or even any need to have my blog or myself vindicated in any way - it just really made me smile when I saw it, and things that make you smile are always good!

If you fancied a bit of a blog-based confidence boost and want to let the world know what a big deal you are, you can get your paws on one of these at Next for £16. As well as being fun and shiny, this is the most soft and comfortable material - love it!

Unfortunately I didn't get to use this as much of a conversation starter while out about about in York as for the most part it was covered up by a hefty coat (come on summer!), but I reckon this could eradicate any need I might have had for blog business cards!

What do you think? Fun? Ridiculous? Are you a big deal and do you want everyone to know it?

  5. I live about 40 minutes from York and I have been at least 20 times! I haven't been in a while but it's definitely one of my favourite places seen as I don't have much to do where I live!
