Sunday Soak - Lush May Day

Would you believe it has actually been a while since I got a new bath bomb from Lush? I've had so many other bits and pieces to use up for the bath I've been trying to use up it seemed counter-productive to add unnecessarily to the pile. But sometimes you've just gotta treat yo' self, and as far as treats for a £3 bath bomb isn't gonna break the bank, so into Lush I wandered - where I was met with a new face!

Lush May Day

Just how cute is this wee little fella?! Turns out, not only do all the proceeds from the same of these lovely little May Day Bath Bombs (£2.95) go towards anti-badger cull projects so I can feel completely justified - heroic, even - in spending my pennies on him, but he smells beautiful too. It's a total win-win!

One thing I always look forward to with Lush Bath Bombs is the visual display they often put on when dropped in the water. I've tried bombs from other companies that have looked cute when dry, that have smelled fantastic and that have made me skin feel great, but never any that make my water look so gosh-darn pretty.

So I was momentarily a little disappointed when this one didn't seem to do much - though that was perhaps not to distract from the very important message contained (literally) in this special edition bath bomb.

Any disappointment I'd felt though soon faded away when I'd immersed myself in the wonderfully scented water I was left with. The bomb is fragranced with fennel oil, rosewood oil and bergamot oil for a sweet comforting scent that lasted well after the bath was drained. It reminded me of liquorice sweeties and might be my favourite smelling Lush bath bomb so far.

So I think you should do the badgers, and yourself, a favour and get one of these picked up while you can!
