Memebox Superbox #9 Tony Moly Edition

After a terrifying few weeks when my favourite Memeboxes stopped being shipped to the UK, I'm glad to announce they're back and available in this country again, woo!

I of course celebrated their return by .... well by buying loads of stuff!

As well as the usual 'mystery' boxes, they also do a range of themed 'Superboxes' - these cost a little more but are crammed full of full sized products and huge samples. It's always so hard to choose between the fabulous boxes available but once I spotted the Tony Moly special I was sold. I love Korean products for their wonderful innovation, kooky packaging and fabulous quality and I know Tony Moly is a a brand at the top of the game!

I was very eager to find out what I would get in my Tony Moly Superbox, and since I know we're all nosy I thought I'd share it with you! (By which I mean I'll show you what I got - I'm not actually sharing anything, it's ALL MINE!)

Well, first of all, the obvious things to find in a beauty box are a tomato and an egg. The tomato is actually a Tomatocs Magic Massage Pack - a bit like a creamy face mask (I think?) that is supposed to leave your skin feeling energized and brightened. It's enriched with fresh tomatoes, which means the packaging does kind of make sense, which is something I don't know I can say about the Egg Pore Silky Smooth Balm. I think at the bones of it this is a primer, filling in fine lines and smoothing pores to give you silky smooth skin ... smooth like an egg?

Now I've got the foodstuff out of the way, it's on to the bunnies! The Pocket Bunny Sleek Mist (not what you'd expect for a product called the pocket bunny?) is, I gather, for getting rid of excess shine on your face. I don't think I'm overly shiny, but it is nice and refreshing on a hot day like the last few! The Petit Bunny Gloss Bar in Juicy Cherry is another cute little product, a pretty rosy lip crayon.

The most straight-forwardly designed of the bunch is the Floria Nutra-Energy 100 Hours Cream - which claims to offer hydration for, as the name suggests, 100 hours. It makes very high claims for itself and boasts an impressive array of ingredients (argan oil, rosehip oil, evening primrose oil, calendula oil and borage oil) and might actually be the best product here but I just can't get as excited about it as if it were shaped like a kitten or a carrot or something.

Thankfully we are back on the weird side with the Mr Smile Patch. To be worn over any smile lines for 20-30 minutes so the 'secret complex' (extracts of black bean, blueberry, black sesame and mulberry) can absorb into your creases and full them out!

Then, finally, this cute little nail polish trio! I've tried one of them out already but despite the undeniably good quality of them, the colours just aren't for me - though it didn't take long to find new homes for them! You can see what Simone though of the one she pinched on her post here though!Really nude foundation-ey nails just aren't my thing but if you are keen on them you'd be hard pressed to find much prettier shades!

So that's it for my superbox! I thought it was pretty super. This one did set me back a fairly whopping $39 but I definitely think it was worth it - though memebox do a whole range of boxes including a number of other supers for around the same price, minis for $15 and the standard memebox for around $23 dollars. They tend to sell out quick (you're too late for this Tony Moly one I'm afraid!) but new boxes are released all the time (and I mean ALL THE TIME - far too often for my liking as I could never get all of them despite the difficulty I have in saying no!) and you can find them all here!

I'll admit to having quite a few of their other collections on order so if you are interested in seeing what else comes in the post from Korea just let me know!

  2. I didn’t even know they had stopped. Shocking.

I saw the TM box and needed it, silly me didn’t order it though. How cute are the Tomato & Egg?!?! I NEED. Also NEED the Smile Patch. How awesome would everyone look wearing these?

I agree they release far too many boxes though, they should just have 2 a month.

AMAZING post. I WANT MORE OF THESE... Can’t wait to see if you do any full reviews of them. In other words I won’t be happy until you do.

  3. LOVE TonyMoly packaging. Like you I had a big weep when Memeboxes stopped shipping to the UK, so to console myself I ordered one of those bunny lip glosses from BeautyNetKorea, which ships for free. Of course now I have to buy a whole bunch of Memeboxes too. It's an addiction...
