Sunday Soak - Lush Big Blue

Yesterday was the hugely exciting and highly anticipated Leeds May Meet. I'll post soon with more details of the fabulous day organised by the hard-working and gorgeous Hayley of Tea Party Beauty, but for now I'll just focus on the fact some of the lovely ladies from the Lush store in Leeds came down for the day and left us with a couple of their amazing goodies to take home, and Lush goodies are always going to go down well!

In the little goodies bags they generously provided, including products used in their amazing soon-to-be-revamped store, I found this gorgeous fella - Big Blue.

bath products with seaweed

Big Blue was actually the first Lush bath bomb I ever used, and so holds a special place in my heart! It smells wonderful, like the ocean, and turns you bath the most beautiful shade of blue. Though the thought of seaweed touching me in the sea really freaks me out, for some reason I'm completely fine with the bits of it in here, which soften and soothe the skin as well as adding to the oceany-ness of the experience (along with the added sea salt). Course, its a pain to clean out afterwards, but some times sacrifices have to be made!

The Lush web page describes this one as 'perfect for drifting off', and I'd struggle to find a more accurate statement as this had me so close to asleep in the bath! I read in the bath and the second time that I almost dropped my book as I couldn't stay awake (about 8pm on a Saturday, I'm so rock n roll!) it became pretty clear that it was time for me to get out before I drowned myself!

The only thing is it left me far too tired to be capable of scraping the seaweed out of the bath, so I've got to get up and do that now, boo!

  1. Sea seaweed freaks me out too. I've never tried this one so I'm excited to give it a go. It smells divine and my mums house currently smells of all this goodness. Gorgeous colour too.

  4. I haven't tried their bath bombs yet as I live in student accommodation and I have only got a shower but I must ask my mum to stock up with some Lush for when I return home. I have used their soaps and face masks which are amazing. I love the effect this bath bomb creates! xo

  6. This is a lovely bath bomb but like you say a super paint to clean up! I bought one of these on two different occasions not realising they were the same so I have another at home to use!
