Burts Bees More Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner

I've loved Burt's Bees products since I first tried one of their lip balms years ago and thought it was amazing. Snce then, I've tried loads of different stuff from the brand - products for the face and body, washes, moisturisers, scrubs and balms of all types - but never any of their hair products!

Those who know me will have often heard my complain about my wild, dry hair. At the minute, so long overdue a trim, it's far from at its best and though I've finally booked myself in at a real actual hair salon, I needed something to keep me going 'til then if I were to head out in public. So I turned to Burt's Bees in the hope I could find another ares for them to wow me in. As always I looked for the products that offered most moisture, and ended up with the 'More Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner with Baobab'

Obviously the first thing I do when a product arrives in the post is smell it (this can't just be me?), and this smells lovely - sweet and fruity - so off to a good start! It's also free of sulfates and parabens and it 99.6% natural. so there's plenty to like about this before I even get it close to my hair!

The shampoo is quite runny, a lovely honey-gold colour and like many sulfate-free shampoos doesn't lather up loads. I tend to shampoo twice as I get a lot more foam on the second go round, and while the foam isn't strictly necessary it makes me feel cleaner!

The conditioner is a more traditional creamy white, thicker in consistency than the shampoo but not the thickest I've come across, but with the same lovely smell.

I am, once again, really pleased with the results. The ends of my hair are beyond hope - nothing but the scissors will sort them out - but the lengths are generally left feeling really nice and soft. It looks better too - I've managed to go out several times without even weighing it all with three tonne of leave in conditioner as I usually do!

The pair are available from Chemist Direct (for less than £15 for the pair) and get my dry hair thumbs up!

  3. Love Burt's Bees. I used to order them from the US when yo couldn't get them in the UK, then as soon as they became widely available here I lost interest. But I didn't know they did hair care so will definitely look out for these, they sound very nice indeed.
