Memebox - Earth and Sea Cosmetics

The latest of my frankly ridiculous backorder of Memeboxes arrived this morning and it's an eagerly awaited and warmly received one so I thought I'd share it with you!

This one is the Earth and Sea cosmetics box - one that tempted me with its promise of volcanic ash and glacier water inspired products. Here's what came in it:

Tosowoong Super Aqua Cooling Gel ($34) - A cream gel full of nutrients and minerals from glacier waters, this designed for cooling overheated or irritated skin. It feels really refreshing when you apply it to your skin, and I love the colour of the packaging that just screams 'cool and fresh'. It's a bit of a shame that this didn't arrive earlier in the summer, but I don't think I saw enough sunshine for it to count anyway!

Secret Nature Volcanic Ash Pore Pack ($36) - I do like the look of this! I can't really explain why as if you asked me if smearing ash over your face sounded like a good idea for your skin I'd almost certainly say 'no', but apparently the mineral rich volcanic ash in this face mask should do you no end of good. It also contains charcoal, green tea and pine needle extracts and apparently 'works wonders' for poor pores.

Dewytree Mineral Healthy Sun Cut Loose Powder ($34) - I didn't really expect to find any make-up products in this box, so this was a nice little surprise! The super fine and silky finishing powder has an SPF of 36 (I love SPF in stuff!) which I don't know if I've ever seen in a powder - though I'm far from an expert! It comes with this cute built in little applicator puff thing, and the colour is super pale and lovely!

Shara Shara Black Charcoal Mask ($2) - I guess it wouldn't be a Memebox without a sheet mask! I guess they're a cheap and conveniently sized way to get an extra product in the box! This one contains charcoal powder and volcanic ash to clean clear and sooth skin.

Elizavecca Milky Piggy Elastc Pore Mask Cleansing Foam ($29) - I know that beauty products with snail mucus in are all the range at the minute, ditto anything with bee-venom, but this is the first time I've seen 'spider extracts' listed as an ingredient! I don't know what bit of the spider has been 'extracted' and I'm nit really sure I want to think about it too much - spiders give me the severe creeps! Apart from that, this sounds like it might be grand - also containing charcoal and collagen to 'clear away all dead skin cells and blackheads with bubbles as fine as a spider web'... I'm just not sure I want to use it!

Ariul Spa Water 24 Hours Moisturizing Refreshing Mist ($18) - Another one that sounds like it would have been great for the summer (though I might just let my mum take it on holiday with her next week!), this Spa Water replenishes dehydrated skin and creates a moisture barrier. It also feels nice and refreshing if you spray it on a hot stressed face!

For me, this was definitely another big hit from Memebox, even with the creepy not-sure-if-I-can-bring-myself-to-put-it-on-my-face spider cleanser! The price of the box was $29 + delivery so while not one of the cheapest Memeboxes (which often go or around $23, with the occasional smaller one coming in at $15), but is still a lot less than the suggested combined value of all the products, plus there's some pretty cool stuff in there!

The Earth and Sea Cosmetics Box is no longer available - you have to be pretty quick! - but the one currently available I imagine to be most similar is the From Jeju box (Jeju being an island off Korea which is home to many similar ingredients!). Though there's always plenty of different themed boxes to look through on the Memebox website!
